100PLUS, Malaysia’s No. 1 isotonic beverage, presented cash incentives to national shuttlers and 100PLUS Brand Ambassadors, Lee Zii Jia, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik in recognition of their outstanding achievement at the recent Paris
Olympics.

Singles ace, Zii Jia and dynamic duo, Aaron-Wooi Yik, turned in smashing performances in Paris to deliver two bronze medals.

The players overcame challenging opponents in the group and elimination stages and ended their campaigns on the podium.

Aaron and Wooi Yik bagged their second successive bronze after Tokyo while Zii Jia claimed his first-ever Olympic medal. Zii Jia follows in the illustrious footsteps of other 100PLUS Brand Ambassadors to win medals in the Olympics, which includes Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei.

This is Malaysia’s first Olympics Men’s Singles medal since Rio Olympics 2016.

“Zii Jia, Aaron and Wooi Yik carried the hopes of our nation to Paris. The expectations were enormous but these remarkable players managed to overcome the pressure and deliver the bronze medals,” said Leong Wai Yin, Marketing Director of F&N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd.

“It is never easy at the Olympics. These players lived up to the ideals of 100PLUS and pushed themselves to the limit in their quest to succeed.

100PLUS today announced that Aaron and Wooi Yik will share an incentive payout of RM150,000 while Zii Jia will receive RM100,000.

Leong Wai Yin also expressed the brand’s delight at the highly determined performances of other the 100PLUS Brand Ambassadors in Paris. Pearly Tan-Thinaah Muralitharan stunned higher ranked rivals and made it as far as the playoffs while mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei advanced to the quarterfinals.

National cyclist Datuk Azizulhasni Awang was in great form in Paris and gave his best.

We are confident these ambassadors will inspire and encourage young Malaysians to aspire to be successful world-class athletes,” said Leong Wai Yin at the presentation ceremony which was attended by En Azrul Hisyam Abdul Jalil, Director of Athlete Division, National Sports
Council and the three players.
