Sabah Tennis is organizing a doubles tennis festival in conjunction with national sports day at the Likas Sports Complex in Kota Kinabalu on Saturday Oct 10.
The tennis festival will see the State Government sector take the private sector as part of the inaugural National Sports Day which will see some 20 other sports taking place simultaneously all over the state.
The National Sports Day in Sabah will be officiated by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman at the Likas Sports Complex at 7.am.
Sabah Tennis Association president Johnson Koh said the government sector will be captained by Abdul Rashid Abdullah while the commercial sector will be headed by Desmond Guansing.
All players are requested to get in touch with the head for participation failing which they can report to the tennis courts venue by 7 am on the day.
The Chief Minister will be going around on a bicycle to mingle with the sports participants and also to check on the events that will take place at the Likas Sports complex.

Sabah Tennis is one of the most pro-active sports associations in the state.
Sabah’s rising tennis star Nurshaneem Imann Shamsudin did the state proud by clinching two titles in one month in the Tennis Malaysia National Juniors tour.
Nurshaneem won the 7th-leg in Kota Kinabalu and also the 8th-leg held in Kuala Terengganu.
