The run will start from 28th April, 2018 and conclude on 8th September, 2018 for the Asia Pacific Masters Games 2018 Opening Ceremony which will take 99 days.3,908km 
Unity and strength will burn bright with the APMG Torch Run 2018. It is a bold project that covers 3,908KM and involves all Malaysians, tourists and expatriates.

5,000 participants
The torch will be carried by running, cycling, swimming, para-gliding, paramotor, speedboat, sea-walking, etc around whole Malaysia to reach Penang for the Opening Ceremony of APMG 2018 on 8 September 2018.Starts from the Tip of Borneo
Beginning at sunset from the Tip of Borneo in Kudat, Sabah on Saturday, 28 April, 2018, the local authorities which represent MALA (Malaysian Association of Local Authorities) together with government agencies will organise events in each state. APMG Torch Run is strongly supported by 77 local authorities.

Swimming across 6km Straits of Malacca
The torch will be carried by swimming across Straits of Malacca from Butterworth to Penang island for the round island final leg.

The Torch Run is part of the run-up to the inaugural Asia Pacific Masters Games to be held in Penang on 7-15 September 2018.

The 1st Asia Pacific Masters Games (APMG) in Penang, Malaysia on 7-15 September 2018 is the first-ever masters multi-sport event in Asia.
A total of 22 sports– Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cycling, Football, Golf, Hockey, Lion Dance, Netball, Pencak Silat, Shooting, Softball, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Tenpin Bowling, Volleyball, Weightlifting, and Wushu will be contested all over Penang.
More than 10,000 participants from around the world are expected to join APMG Penang 2018. Come and be part of this inaugural Masters Games by competing in your own age group regardless if you are a serious competitor or joining for fun.
