FORMULA ONE supremo Bernie Ecclestone won a multi-million-pound fight with a German media company in London’s High Court today.
A High Court judge rejected an £85 million ($140 million, 103 million euros) damages claim against Ecclestone, 83, in his battle with Constantin Medien, but said he did pay a bribe over a sale of Formula One shares.
Despite ruling in Ecclestone’s favour, Justice Guy Newey said he found it “impossible” to regard him as a “reliable or truthful witness”.
Ecclestone faces trial in Germany in April on a related matter.
