Visitors at the eni FIM Superbike World Championship 2015 (WSBK) Malaysian Round experienced thrills and excitement aplenty – both watching the action on the track and enjoying the WSBK Bike Fest at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) during the WSBK race weekend from 31 July to 2 August 2015.
“This is the second year running that SIC is organising the WSBK Malaysian Round. To reach out to and attract a wider audience beyond die-hard racing fans, we are offering many activities for visitors of all ages. Families from all walks of life will be able to enjoy a unique weekend outing, here so I urge everyone to come by to the Sepang Circuit this weekend. There are activities lined up to keep everyone entertained, even non-ticket holders,” said Dato’ Razlan Razali, Chief Executive Officer of SIC.
One racing fan who came from afar to watch the race is Peter Bailey from Australia. The first time visitor to Malaysia commended SIC for a well-organised event. “I’m a big fan of Aprilia bikes. I’m here to support Jonathan Rea, Tom Sykes, and Leon Haslam – and of course Max Biaggi,” said Bailey.
For many fans, another not to be missed motorsports element seen at the circuit are the WSBK girls. The girls also enjoy the interaction, with one of them, Nicholle, expressing her excitement to be back again at the WSBK. “This is the second time I am here, and I am looking forward to interacting with the crowd of fans again. It is also great to see more vendors this year,” she said.
The lovely girls and vendors were certainly memorable for carnival participants and visitors alike. One popular stop for shoppers is the S&J Concept booth offering attractive custom designed headgears and apparel. “This is our first time opening a booth here at Sepang and we’ve been seeing encouraging interest so far from many visitors, who are very keen on the helmets,” said James Lee from S&J Concept.
Took a selfie with a bike? How about printing it out on a stamp? Pos Malaysia has their booth here offering a stamp personalisation service from as low as RM20.20.
