The Kedah Football Association (KFA) are in a dilemma following rumours that sponsors have decided to stay away due to changes in the Kedah political scenario.
Rumours are rife that one of KFA’s main sponsor, D’Herbs Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd, have decided to withdraw their sponsorship.
KFA honorary secretary Datuk Aminuddin Omar said he was saddened by the decision of the sponsor to withdraw their sponsorship since the decision would seriously affect the financial status of KFA, especially though since the M-League will kick off on Feb 12.
“I was informed that D’Herbs Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd have decided to pull out but until now there has been no official notification. If they (D’Herbs) pull out it will be a big blow to our campaign.
“We are still short of sponsors because we still need a lot of money for our M-League campaign,” he told reporters last night after opening the Jitra International Drag Jamboree 2016 at Bandar Darul Aman, here.
Last week a major political change took place in Kedah and KFA when Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir was replaced by Kedah UMNO deputy chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah. – BERNAMA
