THE 29th SEA GAMES and 9th ASEAN Para Games, otherwise known as Kuala Lumpur 2017, is off to a good start when 100PLUS became the second company to officially sign up as a Silver Sponsor with the Malaysia SEA Games Organising Committee (MASOC) in Putrajaya on Monday (27 June 2016).
100PLUS, Malaysia’s No.1 isotonic beverage, will be the Official Isotonic Beverage of the Games after pledging RM3 million in full support of Kuala Lumpur 2017.
A loyal and traditional supporter of Malaysian sports over the years, 100PLUS was among the earliest to respond to the call of YB Khairy Jamaluddin, the Minister of Youth and Sports, for companies to back the Games in 2017.
“100PLUS has been a sponsor of numerous major sporting events in the country, when it was first revealed that Malaysia would host the SEA Games again in 2017, it was obvious that as the No.1 isotonic beverage in Malaysia, 100PLUS will be a part of this prestigious event. When YB En Khairy invited 100PLUS last month to come on board as a sponsor, 100PLUS accepted and the partnership was sealed,” said Mr Lai Ming Kong, Senior Vice-President, Domestic Commercial Operations, F&N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd.
“I am pleased to announce that 100PLUS will be the Official Isotonic Beverage for Kuala Lumpur 2017. It is another proud achievement for 100PLUS which has come a long way since it was first introduced in Malaysia in 1983,” said Mr Lai at the Signing Ceremony between the Malaysia SEA Games Organising Committee (MASOC) and 100PLUS.
The partnership agreement was signed by Dato’ Seri Zolkples Embong, Chief Executive Officer of MASOC and Ms Leong Wai Yin, 100PLUS Marketing Manager and witnessed by YB Khairy and Mr Lai at the Menara KBS in Putrajaya today.
Commenting on the partnership, Khairy said, “We are proud to welcome 100PLUS as our isotonic sponsor who is no stranger to supporting Malaysia’s sports programs, its proven rehydrating qualities will go a long way in supporting the fans and helping athletes deliver their best during the Games, ” he added.
The Kuala Lumpur 2017 Sponsorship package offers companies four categories of sponsorship which include Platinum Sponsors (RM7.5mil to RM15mil ), Gold Sponsors (RM3mil to RM7.5mil), Silver (RM1mil to RM3 mil) and Bronze Sponsors (up to RM1 mil).
