Dorna WSBK Organisation (DWO) is delighted to announce the continuing partnership agreement with Gaerne, the Italian producer of high quality, high-performance motorcycle footwear.
The partnership between Gaerne and DWO will see the Italian brand feature on and off track in WorldSBK at the remaining Rounds of the 2016 season, giving the company unrivalled exposure both trackside and in the paddock of the world’s fastest production motorcycle racing Championship.
As a result, the following Round 12 at the Circuito de Jerez will be known as the Gaerne Spanish Round and Round 13 will be named the Gaerne Qatar Round.
WorldSBK stands for pure motorsport performance and the philosophy of Gaerne matches that perfectly, with their devotion for racing, motorcycling and attention to detail, they take quality and passion from the start line to the finished product.
With some of the world´s fastest riders such as PJ Jacobsen (Honda World Supersport Team), Lorenzo Zanetti (MV Reparto Course) and Gino Rea (GRT Racing Team) counting on the Italian brand to partner with them at top speeds, the extension of the links between Gaerne and WorldSBK is a perfect partnership.
“We are proud to sponsor the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship,” said Marta Gazzola, Marketing Manager of Gaerne. “We will have the opportunity to consolidate the relationship between Gaerne and the spectators who recognise and love the authenticity of Italian technical footwear. Made in Italy for more than 50 years, the same traditions with which Gaerne and its numerous affiliates and clients around the world identify with can be found in our high quality technical footwear.”
“We are delighted to have such a close relationship with a manufacturer of quality products such as Gaerne, who share our philosophies in WorldSBK,” added Marc Saurina, Commercial and Marketing Director of WorldSBK.
“Top level motorcycling is made possible through the synergy and cooperation of all those involved and WorldSBK is proud to count on sponsors such as Gaerne.”
Heading into the Gaerne Spanish Round, Kawasaki Racing Team’s Jonathan Rea leads the Championship 48 points ahead of teammate Tom Sykes with Chaz Davies close behind in third. The Gaerne Spanish Round will see Rea push once again to increase his overall standings lead and try to take out the title for an incredible second consecutive time.
