Shortly after lifting his second AFF Suzuki Cup crown in four years, Kiatisuk Senamuang said that he is dedicated to Thailand and is not considering any moves to coaching another team.
Kiatisuk or Zico as he is more known as said that in spite of the pressure that comes with coaching the most successful ASEAN team, he is well equipped with the task and that his priority is to lead the Thais to a place in the World Cup.
“For the moment, I am not considering any other teams but in coaching Thailand for the World Cup,” he said.
“I work in the belief for the the fans, the players and also the FA. It is a big responsibility.
“I have plans for the AFF Suzuki Cup which we have won and now I also have plans for the remaining games of the World Cup.”
So far in the third round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the Thais have yet to win a game where in the five matches played, they have just picked up one point from the 2-2 draw against Australia last month in Bangkok.
They conceded a 1-0 loss to Saudi Arabia in the first match, then a 2-0 defeat to Japan in the second before going down 3-1 to United Arab Emirates and 4-0 to Iraq.
Thailand’s next match will be against Saudi Arabia at home in March.
