# ‘JDT is a big club with an even bigger agenda’ – Morais
# ‘Team requires undivided focus and unwavering confidence’ – Morais
Johor Darul Takzim’s (JDT) three-match playing tour of Thailand received the thumbs up from their head coach Ulisses Morais but the Portuguese reminded the players of the “big club” to be more focused and confident as they go into the last lap of their preparations for the AFC Champions League second round match against Thai giants Muangthong United FC at the SCG Stadium in Nonthaburi, Thailand on Jan 23.
The Southern Tigers completed their tour with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Port FC after a 1-1 draw against Chonburi FC following a 1-0 win over Army United FC in their opening match.
“Thai football is really good and I am very happy because JDT can learn a lot from the fast playing style of the Thai football clubs,” said Morais on the latest posting on the JDT’s Facebook the Southern Tigers.
“For the past two seasons we had our preseason in Thailand and we won the Super League title title.”
For the record JDT have won the Malaysian Super League title four times in a row since 2014 – something no other team has achieved.
“I am very happy with what I saw, especially the team’s performance in terms of tactics and the players’ attitude,” said Morais, who however, highlighted the costly mistake by the JDT goalkeeper in the 1-0 defeat to Port FC.
“For a club like JDT such mistakes cannot be accepted and these individuals in the team must be aware that JDT is a big club with an even bigger agenda that requires individual focus and unwavering confidence at all times.”
JDT drew 1-1 with Chonburi despite playing with only nine players after Jorge Pereyra Diaz and new signing Bruno Gabriel Soares were sent out.
