Thailand fell to a 2-0 loss to China in a friendly that was played at the Rajamangala National Stadium on the weekend.

Despite having the lion’s share of the possession, the Thais just could not find the back of the net when they were done in by a brace from Wu Lei in the 34th and 74th minute.

“The first goal was a result of our mistake. For the second goal, it was one Chinese attacker against three of our players but still we conceded,” said Thai head coach Milovan Rajevac.

“We were a bit unlucky not to win this game after creating so many chances. Fortunately this was a friendly. I hope we will do better in a proper match. We must create more chances and score as well.”

Thailand are gearing up for their title defense of the AFF Suzuki Cup at the end of the year.
