In the final against the Vienna Major winners Barbora Hermannová and Marketa Sluková from the Czech republic the top Brazilian duo Agatha/Duda took the World Tour Finals crown with a straight 21-15 and 21-19 victory.
Before, the Australian team Mariafe Artacho and Taliqua Clancy clinched third place after a thrilling 15-21, 21-19 and 15-8 victory over Brazil’s Carol Solberg Salgado and Maria Elisa Mendes Ticon Antonelli in the Bronze Medal Match.
Two months ago, Anders Mol and Christian Sørum had never won a World Tour gold medal. Fast forward to today and the new beach kids on the block are on top of the beach volleyball world. The Scandinavians showed once more a remarkable performance in the Gold Medal Match against the Polish duo Bryl / Fijalek and celebrated with a 21-19, 21-17 victory the World Tour Finals title.
German youngsters and local heroes Julius Thole and Clemens Wickler lost the Bronze Medal Match to the Polish team Piotr Kantor and Bartosz Losiak with 21-19, 15-21 and 13-15.
