Defending champions Nagaworld FC failed to close the gap on league leaders Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng when they could only afford a scoreless draw against the latter in their latest tie of the Metfone C-League 2019.
With just the one point, Nagaworld remained on second in the standings with 28 points from 12 matches played – five points adrift of leaders Preah Khan with 33 points from the same number of games.
In the meantime, Visakha FC maintained their momentum to beat National Police Commissary 3-1 – off goals from Brazilian striker Eliel da Cruz Guardiano and another from Cheng Meng.
Shane Booysen struck back for National Police at the hour mark but it failed to spark a revival as they went down to their eighth defeat of the season.
Visakha remained on fifth with 25 points from 13 games.
Elsewhere, Phnom Penh Crown piled the misery on basement side Kampong Cham with a 17-2 beating.
Kampong Cham have conceded 131 goals as against five scored so far this season.
Boeung Ket beat Kirivong Sok Sen Chey 2-1.
