GV Athletic from Yangon won the inaugural MFF Warrix Futsal Open Cup when they beat AKS (A) 6-0 in the final that was played at the Mandalar Thiri Indoor Stadium in Mandalay.
The win for GV Athletic has made up for their disappointment when they finished runners-up at both the MFF Futsal Open Cup 2019 and also the MFF Futsal League 2018-19 that was held in Yangon earlier.
In the meantime, Linn Latt FC came in third in the competition when they beat JZM (A) 12-11 in the penalty shoot-out. The score at the end of regulation was 5-5.
