As Hanoi FC confirmed their back to back title of the 2019 Wake Up 247 V. League 1, former champions Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) avoided relegation following their impressive 5-1 win over Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) this week.
Hanoi’s 1-0 win over Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) – off Nguyen Than Chung’s winner in the 54th minute – at the Army Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City gave Hanoi FC their fifth title since 2010.
In the meantime, HAGL had Tran Minh Vuong’s hat-trick to thank for their fabulous 5-1 victory over Hai Phong in their battle to avoid relegation.
Minh Vuong’s opener came in the 16th minute off the hardwork from Felipe Martins before Adriano Schmidt levelled up for Hai Phong at the half hour mark.
Minh Vuong was again on target just six minutes after the restart as he then completed his hat trick on 66 minutes
Two further goals from Nguyen Van Toan in the 74th minute and then Martins six minutes later completed the win for HAGL.
Elsewhere, Quang Ninh drew Qu?ng Nam 1-1 as HCM City beat Saigon FC 3-1 to win second spot in the V. League 1.
Viettel drew with Becamex Binh Duong 2-2.
