A late double from Samy Jr. Merheg saw Lebanon taking a 3-2 win over Myanmar in a friendly that was played yesterday evening at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon.

Following from their scoreless draw against Thailand a few days earlier in Bangkok, the visiting Lebanese side was not leaving anything to chance as Malek Fakhro gave them the lead after 36 minutes.

However, Myanmar fought back with a goal in each half from Thiha Zaw in the 42nd minute and then Maung Maung Lwin in the 56th minute for the home team to take the 2-1 lead.

But in a ten-minute blitz, Lebanon ensured the win when Merheg struck twice (in the 74th and 84th minute) for the narrow victory.
