ACERBIS and Dorna WSBK Organization are delighted to announce that the Italian action sports company will be the Event Main Sponsor of the 2019 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship Spanish Round, that will be held at Circuito de Jerez Angel Nieto from 7th – 9th June 2019.
The WorldSBK Championship will return to the Spanish race track after having missed one year. It was in 2017 that the last WorldSBK race was held at the Andalusian race track and at that time the Spanish venue played host to the dramatic and action-packed final European round of the season.
Offering always a high level of drama and close battles, the WorldSBK Championship will be back at the Spanish race track this year, and it will be a welcome return. Circuito de Jerez Angel Nieto is famous for being the stage of incredible racing actions, and this season will not make an exception. With three WorldSBK races and local hero Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) leading the standings with his Ducati Panigale V4 R, the Acerbis Spanish Round promises to be a real treat for the local fans, thanks also to the precious support of a valuable partner such as the Italian company.
Based in Italy, Acerbis is a longtime partner of the championship and leader in producing high-quality action gear since 1973. The company is highly involved in the world of action sports, and their commitment and high level of innovation perfectly suit the essence of WorldSBK. By naming the Acerbis Spanish Round, the company will benefit from the global exposure that the series can provide.
Guido Acerbis (CEO): “ACERBIS is very proud to be event main sponsor of the Spanish Round. The brand visibility ensured by the event is outstanding, and the monumental circuit of Jerez de la Frontera is the perfect environment to carry out business with our Spanish dealers. Spain is a vital market to Acerbis for the purpose of its expansion towards the world of on-road bikes and road racing equipment. Moreover, after seven years of collaboration with WorldSBK, we decided to increase our presence by sharing it with the fans, thanks to the activation of the ACERBIS TOP EXPERIENCE. The first trial at Assen was very positive, with many fans enjoying the upgrade of their passes, and we plan to have even more prizes for Jerez”.
Marc Saurina, WorldSBK Executive Director, Commercial, Marketing & Media said: “We are extremely delighted to be able to work together with Acerbis once again. The Italian company is well known in the motorcycling world, and it is an integral part of the championship, as well as, a longtime partner. We really look forward to having them onboard in Jerez. We believe that together we will be able to deliver another unforgettable experience to all the fans who will attend the Acerbis Spanish Round”.
