Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Vice Presidents Moya Dodd and Yousuf Al Serkal as well as a host of AFC Executive Committee will be attending the 2014 Soccerex Asian Forum, which begins in Jordan today.
The forum, which organisers state ‘will bring together the leading administrators and business figures in Asian football with their global counterparts to look at the development of football across the Asian continent,’ is being held in partnership between Soccerex and the Asian Football Development Project (AFDP).
In addition to AFC Vice Presidents Dodd and Al Serkal the forum, as announced by Soccerex prior to the event, will be attended by FIFA Vice President (Asia) HRH Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, who is also the Chairman of the AFDP, as well as AFC Exco members: H.E. Sayyid Khalid Hamed Al Busaidi (Oman FA President), Mahfuza Akhter Kiron (Bangladesh), Winston Lee (Singapore FA General Secretary) and Susan Shalabi (Palestine).
The Member Association Presidents taking part are Chung Mong Gyu (Korea Republic); Semety Sultanov (Kyrgyzstan); Hachem Haidar (Lebanon), General Jibril Rajoub (Palestine) and H.E Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani (Qatar). All India Football Federation (AIFF) General Secretary Kushal Das is also an attendee.
The Soccerex Asian Forum also provides a platform for AFC tournaments and FIFA Tournaments taking place in Asia with AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015 Local Organising Committee COO Mark Falvo in attendance, as is Hassan Al Thawadi, the Secretary General for Qatar 2022’s Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.
Jordan’s hosting of the 2016 FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup will also be highlighted at the event, with the CEO of the organising committee, former Olympic swimmer Samar Nassar, also on the guest list for the two-day forum.
