The AFF notched another milestone yesterday when they signed with Sportradar – a leading global sports data and media company, to provide it with a competition management platform to help automate the AFF’s registration, scheduling and match-reporting processes.
Sportradar are also AFF’s integrity partners and assist AFF monitor their tournament for betting-related manipulation.
Towards that, Sportradar have offered the AFF as a ‘friendly customer’ access to the FMP on a complimentary basis, free of any financial obligations from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2019.
The FMP – Federation Management Platform – includes three parts.
Federation Administration which is a comprehensive competition management solution that enables football organisations to manage their tournaments and generate reports via an online cloud-based application.
Multimedia tools is a collection of widgets and content solutions delivering scores, statistics, tables and many other competition data to fans via web and mobile platforms.
Daa collection system is an advanced tool to capture live match data and information and transmit them for internal (Federation) and external (media and fans) purposes.
A workshop would be held to provide training to the Tournament Officials and AFF staff on how to use the FMP prior to the commencement of the AFF Under-19 Championship which will be held in Hanoi starting from 10 September 2016 onwards.
In the meantime, a minute silence was observed at the AFF Council Meeting yesterday in respect of the recent passing of former AFF general secretary Dato Sri Paul Mony Samuel on April 16.
