Berikutan insiden semasa sesi Ujian Masa CP150 di Bandar Baru Kijal, Kemaman, Terengganu, ia adalah satu berita sedih untuk melaporkan pemergian Norizman Ismail.
Norizman terjatuh di Selekoh 1 . Marshal dan paramedik melakukan rawatan segera manakala bendera merah dikibarkan pada jam 1552 untuk menamatkan sesi latihan. Jam 1555 Norizman dibawa menaiki ambulan ke unit trauma untuk menerima rawatan segera sebelum dibawa ke hospital dengan mesin sokongan hayat (life support machine) dan pasukan perubatan penuh pada jam 1612. Jarak hospital kurang 10 minit dari lokasi perlumbaan.
Pihak hospital melakukan usaha terbaik namun Norizman disahkan meninggal dunia pada jam 1650, hari Jumaat, 5 Mei 2017.
Norizman memulakan karier di Cub Prix pada tahun 2004 dan bergelar juara kelas perdana sebanyak dua kali pada tahun 2005 dan 2011.
Selepas mengadakan perbincangan bersama pasukan-pasukan dan pelumba-pelumba, Cub Prix memutuskan untuk membatalkan perlumbaan sebagai tanda hormat kepada Norizman.
Persatuan Automobil Malaysia dan seluruh komuniti Cub Prix memanjangkan ucapan takziah dan turut berdukacita kepada keluarga, rakan-rakan dan pasukan Norizman.
STATEMENT – NORIZMAN ISMAIL
Following an incident during today’s CP150 Timed Practice session at Bandar Baru Kijal, Kemaman, Terengganu, it is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of Norizman Ismail.
Norizman crashed on his own at Turn 1 and slid to the airfence followed by his bike. The marshalls and paramedics retrieved him immediately and a red flag was called at 1552 to stop the practice. At 1555, he was retrieved by the ambulance to the trauma center where he was resuscitated and sent to the hospital on a life support machine with full medical team in attendance at 1612 hours. The hospital was located less than 10 minutes from the race venue.
The hospital continued to give their best care possible, but pronounced the rider had passed at 1650 hours on Friday, May 5, 2017.
Norizman made his Cub Prix debut in 2004 and was two times national champion in 2005 and 2011.
Following a meeting with the teams and riders, the Cub Prix fraternity collectively decided to cancel Round 3 as a mark of respect to a fallen comrade.
The Automobile Association of Malaysia, and the entire Malaysian Cub Prix community extend their condolences to the family, friends and team of Norizman.
