The Amata Spring Country Club and Alpine Golf Resort Chiangmai, have been voted by the region’s players as the Best Golf Course and Best Golf Resort in 2014 respectively on the Asian Tour.
Amata Spring, which is the home to the Thailand Golf Championship, topped the voting for the third straight year in the Best Golf Course category while it was also the Host Venue of the Year when the prestigious US$1 million tournament was launched in 2011.
The Alpine Golf Resort Chiangmai, which hosts the Chiangmai Golf Classic presented by PTT, won its second straight Best Golf Resort award following the introduction of the category during the 2013 season.
Asian Tour Chairman Kyi Hla Han said: “On behalf of our members, I would like to extend our congratulations to the Amata Spring Country Club and Alpine Golf Resort Chiangmai for winning the Best Golf Course and Best Golf Resort awards respectively for our 2014 season.
“Amata Spring and Alpine Resort are magnificent golf destinations and contribute immensely towards the successful staging of the Thailand Golf Championship and Chiangmai Golf Classic presented by PTT on the Asian Tour.
“Our players have enjoyed competing at both the golf courses over the years and we look forward to returning to Amata Spring and Alpine Resort later this season.”
