Thailand will take on Vietnam in the decisive final later today to decide who will lift this year’s title in the AFF Beach Soccer Championship 2018.
After five days of battle in Bali, Indonesia, the Thais have emerged at the top of the standings with the full 12 points from four matches played – scoring 21 goals as against conceding 10 goals.
Vietnam finished the round robin stage on second with nine points while hosts Indonesia third and defending champions Malaysia on fourth.
Timor Leste were fifth to complete the five-team event this year.
Thailand seemed to hold the advantage going into the final having beaten Vietnam 9-4 in the group stage but whether that will make a difference in the final, will only be known afterwards.
In the other classification match, Indonesia will play against Malaysia for third spot.
