NEXT season’s UEFA Super Cup will be played at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The clash between the 2013-14 winners of the Champions League and Europa League will be staged at the south Wales home of Cardiff City on Aug 12 with a 1945GMT kickoff.
Jonathan Ford, chief executive of the Football Association of Wales said today: “The Football Association of Wales are delighted Cardiff will be hosting this year’s UEFA Super Cup.
“Cardiff has hosted several high profile sporting events. This, however, is a first.
“This will be the first match staged on behalf of UEFA in the Welsh capital. We’re sure it will not be the last.”
