The Vietnam Under-19 team will be heading to China for a playing stint as they look to put up a better showing at the AFF U19 Championship in Indonesia next month.
Vietnam failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the meet last year when they completed the group stage on third.
But this time round, the team has started preparation since the end of last year and where they took part in the Suwon JS Cup in South Korea against the likes of the hosts, Mexico and Morocco.
The team started centralised training camp in Hanoi this week.
For the AFF U19 Championship, Vietnam are in Group A against Thailand, Singapore, Laos, the Philippines and Indonesia.
Group B are Malaysia, Myanmar, Timor Leste, Cambodia and Brunei.
