Vietnam international striker Nguyen Cong Phuong has signed up for Belgian First Division side Sint-Truidense on a year’s loan.
“I am happy to have chance playing for Sint-Truidense. It will be a big turning point in my career and I will try my best to get my place. Thank you for giving me an opportunity and thank you for supporting me,” said Cong Phuong.
Sint-Truidense managing director Takayuki Tateishi said he recognised Cong Phuong’s talent after watching him play for Vietnam against Japan.
The striker briefly played for Japanese side Mito Hollyhock on loan in 2016 and recently had his one-year loan contract with South Korea side Incheon United FC ended by mutual consent.
