Thailandās domination in ASEAN Para Games 2017 football CP seven-a-side (Cerebal Palsy) came to an end following a 3-0 defeat against Indonesia in the final at the National Sports Council ground in Bukit Jalil on Friday (Sept 22).
The Indonesians led 2-0 before the interval with goals from Muhaimi Yahya (18th minute) and Cahyana (46th) before Muhaimi returned to score the winner in injury time.
The defeat came as a blow the Thais who were expecting a gold medal following their superb performance in the preliminary round.
Host Malaysia took bronze with a 4-0 victory over Singapore with two goals from Sobri Ghazali whilst Khairi Ismail and Farisan Jasnal scored apiece.
