Ambak siblings, Quzandria Nur Mahamad Fathil and Qabil Ambak Mahamad Fathil of Malaysia put up fine performance which earned them a 1-2 finish in the SEA Games 2017 Dressage Individual event held Thursday (24 Aug) at 3Q Equestrian Centre in Rawang.
Both, Nur Quzandria, 35, and elder bother Qabil Ambak, 37, who are making a comeback after a lapse of seven years, garnered a total of 152.029 and 149.547 points respectively to provide early glory to the Malaysian contingent.
Singapore’s Caroline Chew took the bronze with a score of 145.988.
Both Quzandria and Qabil last represented Malaysia at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou.
On Tuesday (Aug 22), the Malaysian dressage team of Qabil, Quzandria Nur, Edric Lee and Quek Sue Yian won the team competition.
Equestrian takes a break tomorrow (Friday, 25 Aug) before resuming with the Showjumping competition on Saturday (26 Aug).
