THE Emergency and Trauma Department of the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital (KLGH) is all prepared and ready to attend to any injuries suffered athletes or officials throughout the SEA Games Kuala Lumpur 2017 from 19-30 August.
A spokesperson from the department said, injured athletes sent to the hospital will be provided with the best possible treatment once admitted to the emergency department.
“We have five beds on standby for athletes and more rooms will be made available should the need arises. I believe apart from KLGH, the Malaysia Organising Committee (MASOC) of the Games has made arrangements with other government hospitals located closer to competition venues in the Klang Valley,” said the spokesperson.
KLGH have also deployed a medical officer and four nurses at the A&E Unit to provide medical assistance to injured athletes during the biennial games. A medical team will be stationed at all competition venues.
