It ended even before the V.League 2018 began for former Manchester United midfielder Rodrigo Possebon when Ho Chi Minh City FC decided to end his stint.
The southern club announced that Possebon failed to impress over a month of probation with head coach Toshiya Miura and the club’s board then deciding to part ways.
The Brazilian midfielder was recruited in January although the exact detail of the signing was not revealed.
Ho Chi Minh City FC are determined to improve on their 2017 season where they finished 12th out of the 14-teams league.
The V.League 2018 will start in early March.
