England’s cricketing hero and Red Bull athlete, Ben Stokes will become Alex’s teammate for the F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix this weekend. The second instalment of Formula One’s online series will see past and present Formula One drivers take on racers from various motorsport categories as well as athletes from other disciplines and celebrities.
Current BBC Sports Personality of the Year, Ben Stokes, has been playing at the highest level of cricket for England since 2011. He became a legend last summer helping England win the Cricket World Cup and for his dominant performances at the highest level of Test Cricket in The Ashes.
Ben is not only part of the Red Bull family but also a fan of the F1 game, playing regularly when he’s at home but this weekend sees him embark on his first Esports competition.
Sir Chris Hoy and Phillip Eng were honorary Bulls for inaugural F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix on the Bahrain International Circuit, claiming pole position and a podium for the Team.
