After finishing ninth at the last Rotaz Max Round 4 in Sepang, Eric Louis Pragasam is confident of doing better at the next leg of the championship in Perlis.
Despite the disappointment of finishing ninth after suffering a knock in the final which saw Eric slipped down to 22nd before moving up the rung, Eric is placed 6th in the standings for Asia and 4th in the standings for Malaysia.
“I am very disappointed on how the final finished, I worked very hard over the two months break to be able to win this race,” said Eric.
“But don’t get me wrong, I will come back stronger and try my best to win in Perlis.”
In Heat 1, Eric started from third where after a bad start, he dropped down to sixth and where he managed to finish fifth in the fifteen lap race.
In Heat 2, he again started from third, where after a great start he improved to second at the end of the first lap. He never looked back to finish second in the fifteen lap race.
In Pre Final, Eric started on third to finish second in the twenty lap race where he was following Izzat Hanif (1st) very closely throughout. Eric finished just 0.8sec behind Izzat.
In the Final, Eric started from second. By the end of the first corner, and while he was cornering into turn two, Eric got a huge tap at the rear forcing him to go out wide.
He rejoined the track last (22nd spot) but managed to put on an overtaking show for the audience where he finished ninth.
