Prolific Yangon United scooped up their fifth Myanmar National League (MNL) title – just a point ahead of defending champions Shan United.
Yangon’s 4-0 beating of Southern Myanmar FC cemented their win at home at the Yangon United Sport Complex as they can now acclaimed as the best winning team in the MNL.
The city side were winners in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2018.
Inaugural winners Yadanarbon have titles under their belt with wins in 2009, 2010, 2014 and 2016.
In the meantime, GFA (Gospel for Asia) and Myawady will be relegated to the second division for the 2019 season.
