VIETNAM hauled three gold medals out of the five contested on the final day of the SEA Games artistic gymnastics competition held at MITEC on Wednesday (23 Aug).
Malaysian gymnastic darling Farah Ann Hadi lived up to her billings and provided the country’s only gold in the competition when she won the women’s floor exercise event with 13.450 points.
The Vietnamese won golds through Dinh Phong Thanh in the parallel bar (14.900), Le Thanh Tung in the men’s horizontal bar (13.350) and Le Thanh Tung again in the men’s vault (14.450)
Vietnam completed a fruitful gymnastic outing at MITEC with another two silver medals though Pham Puoc Hung (men’s parallel bar) and Ding Phuong Thanh (men’s horizontal bar).
Indonesia managed a gold through Rifda Irfanaluthfi who scored 13.25 in balance beam to win the gold. Indonesia also took home two silvers, one from Rifda in the floor exercise and another one from Agus Prayoko in the men’s vault.
Apart from Farah Ann’s gold, Malaysia did well in taking home a silver through Jeremiah Loo in the horizontal bar (13.000) and a bronze from Tan Ing Yueh in the balance beam (13.100).
