Herbalife, a global nutrition company, today announced the renewal of its nutrition sponsorship with Low Wee Wern as Malaysia’s squash ace aims for a comeback after an injury.
Herbalife for the sixth consecutive year will provide nutrition products to Low Wee Wern, who won the Malaysian Nationals Title in 2012 and 2014 and reached as high No. 5 in the world rankings.
The nutrition sponsorship of Low Wee Wern forms part of Herbalife’s broader sponsorship programme, which aims to promote healthy and active lifestyles supported by good nutrition. Low Wee Wern, who is Herbalife’s sports ambassador in Malaysia, has been hampered by a knee injury in the past year.
“We are truly inspired by Low Wee Wern’s determination to get back on track after her injury and win back her spot in the world rankings,” said Sridhar Rajagopalan, sub-regional general manager for Herbalife Malaysia and Singapore. “At Herbalife, we build long-term relationship with athletes to support their nutritional needs. Through this renewed collaboration, we hope we can help her achieve her goals.”
Low Wee Wern said, “I am grateful for Herbalife’s unwavering support and commitment, which has been very uplifting and kept me motivated. In return, I hope I can continue to encourage my fellow Malaysians to start healthy lifestyles.”
“For the past six years, Herbalife have helped ensure that I have optimum nutrition for my trainings and tournaments. Their products have become part of my nutritional regime and I am happy that our partnership continues,” she added.
Herbalife’s sports sponsorships also include the football club LA Galaxy and football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
