Janice Tchin Yao Xuan from SMK Padungan kept the Sarawak flags flying with a double triumph in Round Five of the Allianz Junior Badminton Championships 2024 in Kuching.Even with the presence of several out-of-state shuttlers, Janice won the Girls’ Under-15 Singles and Doubles titles to book her place in the Grand Finals later in November.In the final of the Girls’ U15 Singles, she beat Wafa Shahmina Rahman 21-16, 21-11 in 26 minutes while in the Doubles, alongside Brenda Jong Jing Hui, they overcame the pair of Wafa Shahmina Rahman-Wendy Feebie Ricky.Janice-Brenda won the tie 21-13, 21-18.
