The Vietnam women’s national team will head to Japan for a 10-day training camp as they look to improve on their third place finish in the AFF Women’s Championship last year.
This year’s AFF Women’s Championship will be held in the city of Chonburi, Thailand on 15-27 August 2019.
Towards that, Vietnam head coach Mai Duc Chung has called up a total of 26 players from the on-going Vietnam Women’s National League for centralized training.
HCM City have send seven players including national top scorer Huynh Nhu with league leaders Phong Phu Ha Nam also contributing seven players.
Vietnam Coal and Minerals have six players while Hanoi have five in the national training squad.
For this year’s AFF Women’s Championship 2019, Vietnam have been placed in Group B against Myanmar, Cambodia and Indonesia.
Group A are hosts Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and East Timor.
