The Football Association of Kelantan (KAFA) needs more than RM12 million to strengthen the Red Warriors for the competition next year.

KAFA president Tan Sri Annuar Musa said it was difficult for KAFA to form a strong team if the budget was less than RM12 million.

“We know that to form a good team we need to find quality players. For import players alone we need at least RM4 million for each import player.

“This did not include local players, management expenditure and so on,” he told reporters after the 61st KAFA Congress at Pengkalan Chepa, here today.

Annuar said unlike other state football associations, KAFA did not get a large amount of financial assistance from the state government. – BERNAMA
