# Two red cards for Kelantan players deep in injury time
Kelantan, relegated to the Premier League next season, saw red with two sackings but did enough to hold out for a shock 1-0 win over defending champions Johor Darul Takzim in Group C Malaysia Cup match on Friday.
Brazilian midfielder Cristiano Santos, 31, whipped in the winner from the penalty spot in the first minute of added time before the half-time break at the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium in Kota Bahru.
Kelantan, however, was reduced to nine players in the last five minutes of injury time before the final whistle when Hakimi Abdullah and Santos, were given the sack for two bookable offenses in the 93rd and 95th minutes respectively.
For JDT it was their second defeat in the group after having lost 1-2 to unheralded MISC-MIFA at home in their first match while Kelantan registered their first win in the group.
MIFA heads the group with six points after two matches while Kelantan is second with four points after three matches – same as JDT. Kedah is at the bottom with one point after two matches.
At the Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka winless Police surrendered a 2-0 lead for a 2-2 draw against Melaka United for their first point in three matches in Group B.
Melaka United can thank their Belarus striker Egor Zubovic for a late, late equalizer four minutes into injury added time after prolific Nigerian scorer Idefayo Olesegun had reduced the deficit on 86 minutes.
Korean midfielder Sim Woon-sub gave Police the lead on 49 minutes after Shahurain Abu Samah was felled inside the box. It was 2-0 for Police when Shahurain got the second for Police in the 78th minute.
Felda United lead the group with four points, the same as second-placed PKNS FC after two matches with Melaka United third on three points after three matches followed by Police with one point. RIZAL ABDULLAH
