Overnight leader Brandon Lau won the 10th leg of the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Development Circuit ā€“ Qualifying SchoolĀ atĀ Glenmarie Golf & Country Club in Shah Alam today.

He shot a closing third round one-under-par 71 to finish with a six-over 222 total to win by five shots. He collected a RM3,000 gift voucher, given that he is an amateur player.

Danish Azhari (73) was runner-up on 227, while Rozaini Rosli (76) finished third on 230, with Muhammad Afif (75) another shot back on 231 to ensure that amateurs occupied the top four places.

Johnny Tanā€™s third and final day 78 had him finish as the tournamentā€™s top-placed pro in fifth spot.

On a course that played difficult throughout, and also served as the PGMā€™s Northport Glenmarie Championship last week, Lau did well to card the only under-par round of the event as he registered three birdies, countered by a couple of bogeys ā€“ one on each nine.

The next PGM Development Circuit ā€“ Qualifying School event is at Tiara Melaka Golf & Country Club in Melaka from 8 ā€“ 10 November, 2015.
