Lions fall 3-2 to Chinese Taipei despite late fightback

When Shawal Anuar’s shot bulged the net deep into stoppage time, belief swept through the 6,764-strong crowd at the National Stadium as another late comeback seemed to be on the cards for the Singapore Men’s National Team.

But a well-drilled and tactically disciplined Chinese Taipei side held on to their lead, resigning the Lions to a 3-2 defeat in their last friendly of the November FIFA window on Monday (18 November).
