Former Spain Under-21 coach Luis Milla has been unveiled as the new coach of Indonesia.
This follows the decision of the FA of Indonesia (PSSI) not to renew the contract of former head coach Alfred Riedl, who had guided the team to the final of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2016.
The contract for Milla will be for two years.
“I feel very happy with the reception which has been given to me and I feel confident that I can form a good team,” said Milla, who had guided the Spain U21 team to the European crown in 2011.
Other than Milla, the other person considered for the top job in Indonesia was compatriot Luis Fernandez.
