# Sze Fei-Izzuddin to play Chun Kang-Wee Gieen in doubles 
Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin exacted sweet revenge on Vietnamese veteran Nguyen Tien Minh to set-up an all Malaysia men’s singles final against Leong Jun Hao in the Celcom Axiata Malaysia International Challenge at the Stadium Perbandaran in Pasir Gudang.
In the semi-finals played on Saturday the 26-year-old Iskandar, however, was made to slog for 67 minutes in his 14-21, 21-17, 21-17 win over the 34-year-old sixth seed Tien Minh. 
Tien Minh defeated Iskandar in the Sea Games men’s singles quarter-finals 16-21, 21-17, 21-18. 
With the win in Pasir Gudang the head-to-head count now stands at 2-1 in favour of the Vietnamese.
Jun Hao, the Asian Junior Under-19 champion and world junior silver medallist was also taken the distance and toiled for 77 minutes before prevailing 16-21, 21-19, 22-20 win over Indonesia’s Firman Abdul Kholik 
In the men’s doubles second seeds Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin needed an hour to tame unseeded Japanese Masato Takano-Yoshiki Tsukamoto 11-21, 21-19, 24-22.
Shia Chun Kang-Tan Wee Gieen overcame Indonesians Sabar Karyaman Gutama-Frengky Wijaya Putra 21-18, 15-21, 21-14 in 55 minutes.
The women’s singles final will be an Indonesia-Chinese Taipei affair after Ruselli Hartawan pulled off the biggest upset to defeat top seed Vu Thi Trang of Vietnam in straight games 21-16, 21-19.
The Indonesian will play Lin Ying Chun for the title. Ying Chun defeated another Indonesian Gabriela Meilani Moningka 21-10, 21-19 to advance.
Malaysia’s challenge in the women’s doubles ended in the semi-finals with the defeat to seventh seeds Lim Chiew Sien-Yap Zhen. The Malaysians went down tamely to Japan’s Misato Aratama-Akane Watanabe 11-21, 8-21 in only 26 minutes. – BY RIZAL ABDULLAH
