Malaysia remained triumphant as they overcame Thailand with a comfortable 75-33 win to grab the gold medal at the Malaysia Netball Invitational Championships at the Juara Stadium in Kuala Lumpur today.
National coach Tracey Robinson’s girls proved too strong for their counterparts when midway into the game they led 36-17.
In the third quarter, the reigning Asian champions had extended their lead to a 33 point cushion (57-24) to remain out of reach.
It was then over when Malaysia piled up the pressure on Thailand defensively and charged their way to a 42 point gap ending with a scoreline 75-33 at the end of the buzzer.
