AMIDST all the hype and excitement of the colorful Visit Malaysia Year 2014 (VMY 2014) festivities, Malaysia welcomes back the world’s best riders as the first of the MotoGP World Championship pre-season testing session gets underway at Sepang International Circuit (SIC) next Tuesday (February 4).
“VMY 2014 just gets better with another important world class event coming to Sepang. I strongly recommend international fans that are already here in Malaysia for the celebrations to make their way to the circuit next week from February 4 to 6.
“Come and see your MotoGP heroes in action on their new machines as they opened their year-long contest battle for supremacy and the world crown right here in Sepang,” says SIC Chief Executive Officer Datuk Razlan Razali.
As additional incentives, he added, admission for the three-day event is free for fans to witness the pre-season testing from the Main Grandstand.
Marking the start of the pre-season test, Razlan said SIC would also be rolling out the ticket prices structure for the 2014 Shell Advance Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix while offering special early bird discounts during the three-day testing.
To be held from October 24 to 26, tickets for the 24th edition of the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix would be offered at RM150 for the North Main Grandstand and RM110 for seats at the South Grandstand for a full three-day package during the early bird promotion.
Seats at K1 Grandstand, which sits above the opening three corners, are priced at RM70 each while F1 Grandstand seats, which provide excellent view of actions at Turn 5, 6, 7 and 8, are priced at RM50 each. C2 Hillstand tickets are priced at RM40. The launch of the new ticket pricing also includes a special package of the race ticket with an exclusive 2014 Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix merchandise.
