The increasing success of the Indonesia national team has seen a positive response from the corporate sector when cellular company Oppo came on board as the 25th sponsor of the national team.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the FA of Indonesia (PSSI) and Oppo as the Official Smartphone Partner for the National Team was signed in Nusa Dua, Bali.
“Thank you for Oppo’s trust in PSSI and the National Team which is trying to achieve success in Asia and the world. We need the support from the private sector and also from a variety of brands,” said PSSI President Erick Thohir.
“It is impossible to be dependent entirely on the government, even though I have received a commitment from Indonesian President Prabowo (Subianto) for the increase in aid for football.
“Other than the senior team, we also have the younger teams like the Under-17 and Under-20 which will compete in the 2025 Asian Cup. Because of that, I appreciate the presence of many brands and private parties, as well as the public for their support.”
