Two first-half goals were good enough for Pahang for a 2-0 win over Perak club side PKNP (Perak SEDC) in Tuesday’s Super League match at the Darul Makmur Stadium in Kuantan and tighten their grip on second place.
New signing Lazarus Kaimbi from Namibia opened the scoring on 21 minutes for the Elephants before the reliable Nigerian hitman Dickson Nwakaeme added the second ten minutes later. The East Coast giants now have 30 points from 16 matches.
Kedah regained their third place with a 3-2 win over Selangor outfit PKNS FC at the Shah Alam Stadium with the Red Eagles scoring in added time in the 92nd minute through Rizal Ghazali.

However, Zulkifli Fayadh put Kedah back in the picture with a 71st-minute goal before Rizal’s winner. Kedah has now 26 points from 17 matches – one more than Selangor who plays Johor Darul Takzim at the Larkin Stadium in Johor Bahru on Wednesday.
At the Perak Stadium in Ipoh, it was a 3-1 win for the Bos Gauros against Terengganu in a match which was marred by a red card for Terengganu’s new signing Dechi Nguessan after 27 minutes for a second bookable offense.
