INDONESIAN and Singaporean archers broke Thailand’s domination on the second day of the archery competition at teh NSC SyntheticTurf Field on Thursday (21 Sept).
Toto Wastomi of Indonesia and Nur Syahidah Alim from Singapore was on target in their respective events, breaking Thailand’s domination on the first day.
The Thais swept three gold medals on offer in the Team, Men and Women Individual events yesterday.
Indonesia’s Toto Wastomi led all the way to dro[p his challengers including Komoren Morogen of Malaysia (silver) and Anon Aungaphinan who bagged home the bronze medal in the Compound Individual Men event.
Meanwhile, Nur Syahidah clinched the gold medal before homester Nor Saadah Abdul Wahab followed suit with a silver and R. Katemongkon of Thailand the bronze.
National team coach, Marzuki Zakaria said that he was happy with the feat of three bronze and two silver medals.
In the last Para Games in Singapore two years ago, the team completed their campaign with one gold and one silver.
