The Philippines national side will be taking part in the Bangabandhu Gold Cup in Bangladesh as part of their preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 in November.
Newly appointed head coach Scott Cooper will give players who did not feature in the recent training camp in Bahrain a chance to showcase their talents for the Bangabandhu Cup slated for 1-12 October.
Other than the Philippines and hosts Bangladesh, the other teams for the Bangabandhu Gold Cup are Palestine, Laos, Nepal and Tajikistan.
“The players who will go to Bangladesh will be the ones whom the coach would want to see play, the new players and the returning players who weren’t called up in the first camp (Bahrain),” said Philippines team manager Dan Palami.
“We will then proceed to Qatar after that for camp and to play against Oman.”
