The Philippines will take on Oman in a friendly this Saturday as they stepped up a gear towards the AFF Suzuki Cup next month.
Following the team’s exit from the 2018 Bangabandhu Cup last week, the tour of the Middle East follows as the Philippines look to land their first ever AFF Suzuki Cup crown.
The friendly against Oman – the first in 17 years – will be played in Doha, Qatar.
Their last meeting was at the qualifying rounds for the 2002 FIFA World Cup in 2001 which the Philippines lost at home and away.
