Malaysia’s aspiring Formula One driver had a positive test weekend in an F3 car at Japan’s Suzuka Circuit recently.
His lap times shared here show that Akash is the fastest of the 308 series car. The drivers resgistered above him are all in the 312 series car and those are the factory teams.
A closer study of the sector lap times will show that the 312 are faster by 1 second in every sector and 2 to 3 seconds faster in sector 3.
The aerodynamics and power to weight ratio is better in the 312 but he was only allowed to test in 308. Also the track was wet and it is his first time there in that car.
Overall Akash was quite pleased in that he did well in a very new track to him.
